Brown and Green Breakfast |
I’ve had a full English breakfast in many cafe’s and restaurants ,some very disappointing and others pretty solid. If there was a premier league of places serving a full English , Brown and Green would be in my top tier of cafes actually competing for the tastiest full English breakfast cup. Pardon my football reference, the premier leagues over and I think am suffering from a case of withdrawal symptoms. I’m getting the shakes and for once it isnt due to rib eye cravings. The world cup kicks off in a few more weeks and that should help satiate my hunger. Speaking of hunger, let’s get back to why I rate Crystal Palace’s triangle Brown and Green soo highly.
Location
It’s in Crystal Palace. Possiby one of the best areas in London according to my foodie partner. After stuffing your face at the Brown and Green cafe, you can burn off some of those calories by strolling round a park a few minutes away. They have an area with dinosaurs ( dont ask me what period ) , a boat lake, skate park, one of the largest maze in the country and just stretches of greenery to explore. As it turns out there’s a Brown and Green mobile van in the park just in case you’re feeling faint (ahem) from all the walking business.

The atmosphere and Service
The Crystal palace triangle Brown and Green has a really chilled out atmosphere. Even when it’s busy, you still feel like you’re in your own little space. The cafe seemed to attract all kinds and by that I mean couples, families and friends. The service was also quite fast and attentive. When you order, you get served pretty quickly regardless of how busy the place is. What more can one ask for.

The Taste
All the dishes I tried out on my 2 visits (yes have only visited twice, but I guess living over an hour away does that) were flavorful and moreish. Their menu has a decent amount of vegeterian options, so the cafe isnt strictly for meat eaters. The B and G breakfast I tried or their equivalent of full english had : Eggs, bacon, sausages , pot of beans, herby tomato , white and granary toast. The crispy bacon and sausages layered with eggs on buttery sourdough was a match made in heaven. The cost came up to £8.95

Perfect Scambled eggs and Salmon on sourdough toast was simple and delicious. The eggs were creamy and fluffy. Just how I like it. The cost came up to £7.50

I didnt try this next dish, however I was told it was good as well. The cost was about £10.95, so slightly more expensive than the others.

There goes my time at 99 Church road Crystal Palace. You can bet I definitely plan to visit again. The dishes tasted great and the service was top notch. Let me know what you think of their B and G breakfast when you do.
